This spring my goal is to stop and smell the roses that are now just starting to bud. I have a new nephew in Des Moines, Iowa that is just a couple months old and I am heading home to meet him in just ten days. I cannot wait!

When I think about the start of spring, I think of the smell of fresh grass and a warming day and a cool afternoon breeze, I think of bright greens and yellows with pops of orange and pink. I think about the rush I feel when it's five o'clock and the sun isn't quite ready to set yet. There is something magic about this time of day ;)

In celebration of the longer days, longer magic hour and warmer weather, I can't think of a better way to spend these extra hours than photographing kids and their families!

I had an especially fun time with this family in Tiburon, California at Hippie Tree in the giant swing over-looking Marin County. Their full session was an hour long and we could have gone on for hours more!

From April 7 through April 10, I will be offering Family Portrait Sessions in Des Moines, Iowa!

For the months of April and May I will be holding Mini Portrait Sessions throughout the Bay Area. and spots are filling up. Locations include: Redwood Regional Park, Tilden Regional Park and several others. I would love to help you capture some charming photos of your family this Spring!
